life in melbourne
Started my lessons waaaay before the uni's official enrolment date so I've got one assignment due just a few days after enrolment. It's an art piece which I am getting a little jittery about cos it's been a while since I've done serious art work. Hope the art piece turns out ok *keeps fingers crossed*.
Meantime, unlike what many of my friends claim, I am not all to eager to stay in Melbourne and NOT go home. Funny, whilst everyone claims that studying overseas is the best time of their lives, me and my new friends do not feel that way at all, about a month into living here. Not to say that it is really bad, but it's also nothing to shout about too.
We'll see how it goes, I guess. Nevertheless, for now, I am just hoping to finish my course, pack my bags and head home as soon as I can.
Anyhow, since I couldn't post pictures the last time, here's a photo album of my life in Melbourne so far from Facebook, which mostly involves my mum's visit about 2 weeks ago. I've haven't had the motivation to take much pictures... :P
Click on the Kookaburra to access the album!
It's gonna continue to be hot in Melbourne! Just when will it turn autumn??

Where are you staying pearl? Own rented place? Dorm?
It's my own rented place that's actually an off-campus student accomodation. Privately run with office administration and stuff. Quite a comfortable place, I would say. I'm expecting a house mate though cos mine's a 2 bedroom apartment.
Pearl,
Wow, it's been 2 years since the last time I came to your blog. Now you're studying Art Therapy at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Kudos for taking that major step! It's not an easy decision to make but you did it. Give yourself a pat on the back! :)
I'll be interested in reading about your daily "student" life in Melbourne. Even little things like the cultural differences in everyday attire. Do you find that people in Melbourne dress more casually than Singaporeans while going grocery shopping? Will you be working part-time while studying? Fun jobs like picking fruits at a farm? You're daily healthy homemade meals? Places you dine at? Even your daily vents?
Anyways, enjoy your stay in Melbourne. It'd be a lifetime experience. Take care.
From one of your casual reader, MY.
