Anyway, some comments on the video. Yah, that was Jamie Bell in it, which was how I found out about this video. I found this one amusing cos I'm sure it would have been alright if it was a Korean or Taiwanese video. But it really does seem weird when that same cliche story is put into a modern American context. It's almost like the dialogue and the plot just seemed too un-Western to be played out by Westerners. Of course, I don't deny that such situations do happen (we almost always forget that even today, many Ameircan soldiers are leaving their loved ones behind and risking their lives protecting an alien piece of land). It's just how it's being portrayed that is, for the lack of a better word, unusual.

Btw, I think they made the wrong choice with the girl. With that heavy eye make-up she looked too punky to be the poor, innocent girl who is left wondering about the fate of her boyfriend at war. I mean, kissing in the meadows among the beautiful yellow flowers just didn't compliment her thick mascara. And errr... she actually sounded quite scary when she went hysterical...
