R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts
Thanks to Funn, I've discovered this song. Indeed, very comforting. I like it when poems or songs or stories don't try to tell you stuff like "the sky's the limit", or "everybody can achieve anything", "you can be whoever you want to be". In fact, it irks me sometimes. I mean, everyone is imperfect, and sometimes it's just up to you to accept that you are imperfect and that there are indeed limits to your ability. We fall down on luck on no fault of our own, we make mistakes that make us feel utterly useless. But hey, that's just you - the human being. Of course, we have to right our wrongs, but do it one at a time. Set realistic goals, develop yourself, not merely improve, celebrate your achievements however little they are, don't be afraid to ask for help, and above all, love yourself.
Who ever said it's an easy thing to do?
Funn posted the lyrics here, and even provided a link to listen to it, amongst other wonderful songs. It's a beautiful song too.

Thanks for the reminder, Pearl. I must admit that I am a perfectionist. The crazy kind. Sometimes it just kills to find out that I made a mistake or can't do something that seems like a piece of cake to everybody else. Auhggg! When a problem occurs and I'm being finger pointed at, I can pretty much dwell on it for weeks thinking, "How can this happen?" Yes, it helps to know and be willing to accept the fact that we are human and that human beings will make mistakes and are not prefect. I keep telling myself to learn to let go no matter how much blame is being pushed my way. Mind you, I'm starting to learn that the people who make you feel the guilt are actually the ones hiding the mistakes they made in the first place.:)
Pearl you will never guess what happened. I was browsing through Limewire when I saw NEWSIES and I thought maybe it's a clip so I downloaded it. Took me 24 hours and I thought maybe it's the whole movie but I thought no way. Guess what? It is the whole movie!!
Wow!!! It is clear? very tiny or can fill the whole screen? Really the entire movie???
Haha, hope you enjoy the movie then!
Happy watching Funn!
my, Yah, it's so true that "people who make you feel the guilt are actually the ones hiding the mistakes they made in the first place". Makes you so frustrated... Yup letting go is definitely one thing to do. But there is another thing that we must do, and that is making sure that these people do not get a chance to take advantage of you again by taking the neccessary precautions is also something that we should do too. Like I said, try not to improve yourself, but instead develop yourself :)
Pearl, DVD quality, crystal clear picture and sound. The only problem was my DVD - not enough to save all so had to reduce the quality and still watched it on my big TV and wow, great quality.
And may I say, very infectiously fun movie although a bit messy here and there. How come CB and the kids never got any credit when the adults got their names on the cover and yet had so little screen time? NOT FAIR!
