You like Taylor Hicks? I thought you liked McPhee?! I was like ready to go out like all out war with you but shocking!

Yeah he won. That song was horrible but he sang it so well now I am humming the tune!

I liked McPhee's Somewhere Over the Rainbow, not McPhee the singer :). I was actually rooting for Paris and, errr... I actually liked Chris Daughtry but nevermind :P

McPhee didn't fare well during the finals. I dunno is it just me but I find that the female finalists at AI tend to sound so shrill when hitting the high notes, and audiences seem to love that. For examnple, Carrie Underwood. Give me Bo Bice's version of Inside Your Heaven anytime. McPhee fell into that 'shrillness' category, which showed especially when she sang the last song. That song was horrible, by the way. I wonder who wrote it?

Taylor's song was much better, though I have to agree that he probably made it sound better than it was. So much passion. In fact, I was watching this at home alone when I decided to actually clap at the TV after he had finished the song.

I like Taylor Hicks? Not really actually. But I was truly impressed and in awe of his performance.

Totally agree on the McPhee part.

Did you see Taylor's audition? AI never showed Elliott's audition so I never knew how he fared. But they showed Taylor, maybe at first because he looked like an old man. But from that audition tape onwards I was hooked. Simon of course had no taste.
