Although we have 4 cats, all immunized and sterilized, we usually allow them to roam around the neighbourhood as we believe as they are, since the beginning, strays at heart. Ginger, Miki and Blackie, in particular, roam around the neighbourhood, but always come back in the evening for their meal and a snooze in our front or back yard. Sometimes, we allow Ginger and Miki to come into the house for a while, only because those were the 2 we watched from infancy to adulthood and have a very special bond with them.

But about a few weeks ago, someone wrote into the Newpaper complaining that at the other side of the neighbourhood, someone has been feeding stray cats on the roadside, causing a driver to 'almost knock down a cat'. Because of that, this driver complained to the National Environment Agency about cat control. What the f*ck???? Blaming cats for your careless driving?????????????

The, in the last 2 weeks, there has been lesser and lesser cats around the neighbourhood. Finally, 4 days ago, both Blackie and Ginger have gone missing...

They didn't come back for their meal. They didn't come back for their dose of loving caress by the family. They simply.... disappeared.

Dad said it seems like the NEA may have gotten them.... and.... euthanized them....

I feared greatly for Miki after that, making sure that she stayed in the house and not go out. I wanted to protect her. Last night as she made herself comfortable on my lap I told her repeatedly - "Don't go out of the house, k?"

But after coming home today, I realized that Miki has disappeared too...

So this is it???? Is this NEA's way of doing things? Too many animals, let's just kill them. How callous! How inhumane!! They are a bunch of retards who only think in one way. KILL if there's too many!!!

The world is getting overpopulated too! Why not we just kill them senselessly???? Get them out of the way for a 'perfect' world!!

Ginger and Blackie are the most well-behaved of the lot. They are gentle, mild, and loving. Miki may be active, but she also enjoys the human touch.

Thay have a home!!!!! They have people loving them!!!!!! How can they do that to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The very thought of their last moments... if they were really caught by the NEA.... I feel like dying.

I took a picture of Ginger before I set off for Spain, just so that I could look at his photo stored in my digital camera if I miss him while away for 2 weeks. Now photos may be all that's left of them....
