un pensamiento para ti...
~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez
really...where is the love?
People in my life - my work, elsewhere around me... They have indeed got me questioning...
Where is the love?
Compassion is no longer worth mentioning. In a money-minded world where failures are scorned and success is measured by your wealth, where self-esteem is derived from attaining selfish goals and weakness in character is revealed by showing compassion...
No more love in this world.
No more love for the disadvantaged, no more love for the upright, no more love for those who protect.
Where do we go from here?
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?

Love is everyone, you just have to know where to look for it.
Once you give without asking, you will find love in everywhere you go. =)
Wei Ling, I saw the web page. That is precisely the problem... People who truly had the compassion and who truly made an impression in the helping profession, they belonged to the older generation. Now, things are different. Economic considerations far outweigh the foundations in which charity organizations are built upon in today's landscape...
Love still exists, maybe not love but compassion, it is in different form than the past. people no longer become proactive so they don't show the love as freely as they did before. But sometimes when the worst happens you will see the love and when it is shown the love is often heartfelt and genuine. I believe in the goodness of people and I like to believe we are still human despite the shitty stuff I read everyday on Daily Mail because at the end of the day I really am not concerned about everyday love if people are not ready to give but when it is time to give, then love should and must and will be given in big doses. Have faith Pearl.
