When I first rented and watched HK-TVB drama serial Split Seconds, I thought I appreciated the effort in making a drama that was different in plot and style and characterizations. However, I did complain that they tended to drag at parts which shouldn't be dragged and jumped scenes too quickly when they should have developed it more. However, now that Split Seconds is premiering on Starhub Cable, I felt the urge to watch it again. Just that this time, it's weird but I actually began to appreciate the parts where I felt were too draggy and those that jumped too quickly. In fact, I think I like this drama more than before.

Some complaints remain thou esp the inane dialogue, things like, "I have waited for him for 24 hours, 32 minutes and 16 seconds; and "we fought for 3 hours, 40 minutes and 12 seconds" (not the exact figures but u get my point).

Now the series is at 15 episodes. It remains to be seen in that love story between Alex Fung and Yoyo Mung still irritates me like the last time. Oh yes, and those death scenes.

So do give this serial a chance. It's not as bad as some reviews claimed. In fact, I think if u watch closely with an open mind, u'll find the beauty in it.
