Does anyone recognize this email address? gladsters@gmail.com. I received a message saying that this email wanted to add me into its contact list. Is it spam? Sounds an awful like to me. Fellow gmail-owners do u have this also?

Anyway, went to MacRitchie's Tree-Top Walk today with my family for a hike. Frankly, I liked the experience, the feeling of getting some exercise amidst the sights and sounds and smells of the tropical jungle. Of course, the trail is paved and marked, but in Singapore, that's about the closest u can get to nature. The weather was pretty good too, very cool and not-sunny which made the walk more enjoyable. Only complaint is the tree-top walk itself. In case u didn't know, the tree-top walk is a hiking route that includes a suspended bridge in the middle of the MacRitchie Nature Reserve, built so high that u are actually walking among the forest canopy. See here for more info! As much as I was looking forward to walking the bridge, I do have a phobia of heights. It was dreadful, especially when Dad was always purposefully swinging the bridge from side-to-side, partly to demonstrate how sturdy the bridge and also, I suspect, to make make me even more scared. Haha.. It's not a short bridge either, and unfortunately I was totally in no mood to look at the scenery around me. In fact, I concentrated on looking foward. I hated to look either sideways or even below. Fear... gripping fear of falling... That's why, my friends, though I brought my trusty camera, u won't see any pictures of the Walk.

Yeah, it is irrational to think like that, just like what Mum said, but hey, that's what a phobia is in the first place!

Anyway, all in all it was a fun family outing, though marred slightly by me tripping over a root and twisting my ankle. Very painful.... I'll be in an ankle-guard for the next few days... Thankfully it wasn't a sprain, though at the moment it was so painful it did feel like one... But you know what? According to my brother, we actually covered like 14 km today! Wow! Hope we get to do this every Sunday, u know, get some much-needed exercise.

Do try it out if u get the chance to!
