And boy it costs a bomb...
I recently purchased the JVC GR-X5 camcorder (click here to see). And a whole lot of other accessories. Wanted the MG-50 initially, but my brother advised me against it cos the hard disk technology for camcorders are still in their infancy and is hence still very unstable.
The picture quality is great, and it's compact. Only grouse is the extremely short battery life. Gotta go get a better battery once I've recuperated my loss...
Anyway, why get a camcorder? Well, my play is definitely one big incentive. I mean, I have been through like 3 drama productions but alas I never really had a good record of the memories that came with them. So, yeah, be it the play or just other major events in my life, I would like to record and keep them. Maybe I can post some clips of the rehearsals on the official blog even once I've mastered it....
Just hope that my passion won't be deterred by the short battery life and the cumbersome need to change the miniDVs after 1 short hour.
Anyway, one such big event that will be coming up is my brother's big day. Yup, he's getting married and they'll be going through the registration this Saturday. Nooo.... not when I have 3 big and painful pimples under my nose!!!

Is your brother older or younger than you? Do you have other siblings?
I'm an only child myself, so I don't quite know what it is like to have a brother or sister get married.
Ah...that camcorder will come in handy now. Wait until he has a baby then Auntie will really get to use it!
