And goodness, what's this one all about man? I guess only Final Fantasy fans will understand it better.... And I wonder whether this version was really recorded by Law Kar Ying or was remixed....




Anyway, back to the classics, my friend and I tried to find if anyone had posted the opening themes of the original China versions of Ne Zha and Ji Gong, but we couldn't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where we can watch them? Also, didn't Journey to the West theme have another version with lyrics?

Haha... Sure the special effects are crappy, but how to complain when they were made in 1980s - 1990s China? Must have been considered groundbreaking during that time :P. And that Monkey King and Ji Gong are the best versions of the characters that survive till today (can't remember much about Ne Zha except for the catchy themesong).

Did you watch the old JTTW? I think the later batches have lyrics, in the ending song I think. The one you posted is the first few episodes.

The special effects are lousy, notwithstanding that they were from the mid 80s and they recycle the same effects over and over and to me the real special effects is the actor who portrayed monkey king's acrobatic skills that really didn't require any special effects. I think I'll rip some scenes and post them in mywebsite. Had me in awe especially when he was holding that golden stick.
