emotional disturbances
The first thing I woke up to was the newpaper article stating that a fan was so much in love with singer-actor Andy Lau that she had caused her family to go bankrupt and her father to commit suicide only because she did not get a chance to meet Andy Lau personally.

Then as I was reading the news, I overheard on TV a Taiwanese news program which had featured this piece of news. In the clip, they interviewed the fan, who, with tears in her eyes, blamed Andy for this and said that he must meet her and spend time with her personally as a compensation for her loss.
Crazy fans. Crazy world. I know I'm a psychologist and I cant be judgemental but when Andy Lau's spokesperson said that to cause your whole family so much pain and hardships just because of a celebrity (before the suicide incident when the father had actually threatened to kill himself if Andy did not spend more time with his daughter), I actually agreed with him. And the parents, they were definitely blinded by their love for their daughter, so much so that all reason was thrown out of the window. In a way the parents brought this upon themselves by indulging in her quest so much that it made them slaves to her whims and fancies. Sounds harsh, I know. Who am I to say anything?
PoorAndy Lau. I like the actor (my very first idol), and many others. But to be so emotionally drawn into it is completely irrational.
Crazy. Crazy and scary.
The week at work has been an eventful one too, with emotions flying wild, though not nearly as bad as Andy's case. In one week I had handled a depression case, a case of marital conflict, a grief case... Very eventful, and I'm actually feeling a bit drained.
They call it 'emotional disturbances'. But to put it plainly and crudely, things have just gone crazy.
