un pensamiento para ti...
~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez
back from a much needed holiday
I'm back from Korea! Touched down on Wednesday night at 10pm and went to work today. Tired... And very hard to concentrate on work, like a surreal feeling like I was still in Korea on Wed and the very next day I'm back to reality slogging at my job.
Some impending changes at work that doesn't bode too well... It's scarey, that uncertainty.
Anyhow, trip to Korea was fun and I learnt quite a lot about their culture, society and history. Our tour guide was good too, one of the few English-speaking Korean tour guides available cos apparently there are only 150 English-speaking tour guides in the whole of Korea and the rest are mainly Mandarin-speakers. The rest of the tour group didn't like the food though I adapted quite well to the food, which explains why I have yet again put on more weight despite all the walking and exercising during the tour. One thing good about the tour was that it was more sightseeing than shopping, so it definitely is quite an educational tour as well.
Only thing that's making me depressed is my weight now. If I stop my thyroid medication, I'm sure I can lose some weight. But the doctor has given me strict orders to continue with the medication or else I may be faced with heart failure. My thyroid levels are actually normal now but the doctor insists that I must continue with the medication for at least another year so those of you who will not see me until next year would probably not recognize me anymore cos I would have become an obese blob of fat.
No good. Life is no good.

I had a horrible week that is only saved by my purchase of my dream phone which was truly a dreamy kind of thing. Other than that it was pure shitty week.
Pearl, show me some happy holiday pictures please...some beautiful wallpaper worthy scenery and a full decription of where you went. Was it a winter sonata tour, Jewel In The Palace tour? How was it?
Full report please. And a nice wallpaper picture too.
What a horrible week.
Sorry to hear about the shitty week. Can be such a draining thing.
Which dream phone did you get??
Haha holiday pictures are on the way, but need some time to sort them all out. It wasn't any of those tours, just pure sightseeing and experiencing the culture :) It's was nice.
