Another vocal powerhouse in the form of a youngster.

Charice Pempengco was 14 years old when she appeared in this Korean variety show in Oct 2007. Amazing vocal performance from the young Filipino who you knew simply wowed everyone present.

Whilst I do feel that she may have overdone it at times, there's no denying her vocal prowess.

Amazing!!

Part one - Charice makes a stunning entrance with that quintessential "song-that-shows-how-good-my-singing-is", And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going.


Part two - The Koreans adore her to bits! And my she can dance!!


Part 3 - Charice picks her duet partner, Kyuhyun from Super Junior, to sing Disney's A Whole New World. Kyuhyun had just recovered from a massive injuries from a car accident in April 2007. I must say... it is a beautiful rendition!!


Her performances even caught the eye of Ellen Degeneres all the way in the US, who invited her onto her show...

I always thought that song was really easy to sing but difficult to master. Put it this way; try singing it Pearl with loads of aggression, bitterness and anger and make sure you sing loudly and with your arms and legs everywhere and believe me you too can do a decent version of the song. The proof a really great singer, those that I can really sing type is a Robin Gibb song because the original had the voice of an angel and try to sing it any other way would be quite disastrous. Even an Elvis song is easy to sing and easier to sing like Elvis but very difficult to sing it your way.

So frankly I didn't think she was any special although I am very impressed with her English.
