un pensamiento para ti...
~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez
silence of the night...
It's happen again, this time in an unlikely fashion. I can't sleep.
What's new? Well, this time, it's not supposed to happen cos last night I was completely knocked out by the medication which the doctor prescribed for my flu and sore throat. Well, it even knocked me out in the afternoon. I took the same medication for the night, yet this time, I am kept awake.
That's not all. I'm feeling weird this time, this time as I am typing this. It's like, I'm feeling detached.... and I'm feeling weird tingling sensations all over my body... In fact, I seem to have some difficulty typing this now.
Could it be that new antibiotics? That's the only new thing I took for the night.
This bout of fever has been causing me nothing but problems since day 1. I started having fever last Sunday, and it peaked on Monday, as I've talked about. My fever since lingered every day. In around mid-week, I developed a bad flu and a sore throat. On Friday, the fever/flu/sore throat felt so uncomfortable that it kept me up the entire night. Went to see the doctor on Saturday morning, and she precribed a course of antibiotics, among other medication. Took the antibiotics, took a nap, woke up with serious gastric that afternoon. So Sunday night, I went back to the doctor, who said it was possible that the antibiotics could cause gastric, but that possibility is very little. Besides, I have taken that antibiotics before and it didn't give me problems. Anyhow, the doctor changed it to a milder one, which brings us up to now.
What's going on??? What in the bloody world is going on with me??????
That's it, no more medication from now.

Pearl, you're supposed to feel weak, tired, sleepy and exhausted after taking your medication. It means your body is fighting hard. But if you have gastric, it means the medication is too strong for you or you didn't eat enough prior to taking the medication. As we grow older I guess our body will accept or reject certain things we thought is fine and ok.
Anyway rest well. The last time I had sore throat, I was sick for 3 days, then came the flu for another 3 days and then fevr was the last and worst. I was like 4 days out of work for 2 weeks and my boss warned me. But what can I say? I had a fever of 104 celcius and I was in a freezing cold court and my whole body hurt. I was fine after extra strong medication which was great because I never had so much sleep and such deep ones too!!
Get well soon.
the worst of times will come to pass. *hugs
