How can I complain? They are after all the ONLY postal service provider in the whole of Singapore.

But it's still shocking that such blatantly appalling services still exists in these huge companies...

I recently purchased a large item from the UK on behalf of my organization. Because the items cost too much, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority detained my items, sending me a letter to inform me that I needed to pay GST, and that I needed to do many things to clear the ICA.

Since this was the first time I encountered such a thing I naturally had lots of burning questions. So, I called Singpost. In the 3 times I called Singpost, this was what I got:

(Phone gets picked up)

(Silence on the other line)

Me: Hello?

Singpost: Yes....? (uninterested, boring voice)

Me: Uh... Is this Singpost?

Singpost: Yes...? (still uninterested and boring voice)

This same conversation repeated itself each time I called Singpost. I mean, at least have the decency to say "Hello Singpost" the moment you pick up the phone and identify yourself!!

Then, I requested for some documents to be sent to my office as I needed them for an advance claim in order to PAY them. I mean, at least have the decency to call me to inform me that you are sending a fax over! Then at least have the decency to give me a call to check if I have received them!! No news, no nothing. And at least have the decency to write "Attn:..." on the documents! Man!! Even a poor VWO like mine knows that we need to use a cover page stating who the fax is addressed to, who sent them, how many pages are in the fax and what are the contents! Nothing of that sort whatsoever!! If I hadn't by chance one day walked past the fax machine and saw a funny document lying in the rough paper tray, I would not have even known of its existence!!!

Then when I called Singpost again about the fax and what I should do next, no one seemed to know anything about my case, didn;t even bother to ask about the serial number of my receipt and or offer to check for me.

What kind of bloody service is Singpost providing??? I wrote a complaint to them on this, and I think I was quite factual on the message but no reply from them also.

Some gracious society we are. No decency at all.
